Your Surgical Journey
From your first inquiry with us to your return from surgery, we are with you every step of the way with caring, well-qualified professionals who all have one goal in mind: Your health and wellness.
Here’s your step-by-step journey:
- With your decision to have surgery via a NASH hospital, you will have your pre-operative evaluation with the medical team here in the United States.
- When you know who you want to accompany you on the trip (spouse, adult-child, other relative, friend), we will take care of your travel arrangements, including air, hotel and ground transportation.
- You will receive a thorough travel package that details your NASH experience, from who will greet you at the airport, how you will get to the hotel/hospital, and whom to contact with any questions.
- You will tour the hospital facility with a NASH representative and have a pre-operative review with local healthcare providers. Your surgery will be one or two days after your arrival. Depending on the surgical procedure, you may receive post-operative physical therapy right away and for the days to follow.
- When the doctors at the hospital agree with your U.S.-based care team that you are ready to be released, we will take care of all travel arrangements for your flight home and the follow-up post-operative care needed in the U.S.
The NASH patient experience includes:

- Personal, one-to-one concierge-level care from a registered nurse, touch-down to take-off.

- Surgery performed by well-qualified licensed surgeons from both the U.S. and Mexico.
- Post-operative care at state-of-the-art facilities in the hospital.
- A list of verified tourist venues/opportunities and approved travel accommodations to and from these venues.
Your Specialty Pharmacy Journey
To provide your medications, NASH manages a close collaboration between your doctors and pharmacists in the U.S. and their carefully chosen, certified peers in Mexico and Canada. There is no disruption in your current therapy. The doctors and pharmacists we work with do not replace yours; rather, they enhance your current medical care. You receive 90-day prescriptions, with the same expectations for refills and follow-ups as you experience with your U.S. providers.
Here’s the step-by-step experience you can expect with the NASH:
- After you reach out with interest in the specialty pharmacy program, NASH requests basic information from you regarding your current medications.
- We share that information with our certified physician in Mexico and Canada.
- If approved, NASH coordinates all travel arrangements to pick up your prescriptions – that’s for you and a companion, including flight, hotel and ground transportation reservations.
- Your employer is sent authorization to approve the program’s final cost, including prescription- and travel-related expenses.
- Upon arrival, you and your companion are greeted at the airport and transported to the hotel.
- A NASH representative will assist you with check-in, share your itinerary and help arrange anything else you might need during your stay.
- A NASH representative accompanies you to any medical visits to obtain your prescription and ensure you have the documents necessary to return to the U.S. with your prescription.
- At the end of the visit, we transport you back to the airport for your return trip home.
- If you’re using our Canada specialty pharmacy, you can choose to have your medication shipped to you monthly after your initial consultation in Toronto.
